How to disassmeble Synology DS414

For a long time that Cheney did not share the experience about 3C products or other things. Not Cheney did not buy any but Cheney just feel lazy with the reiew of Cheney’s shopping things.

Well, this Lunar New year, Cheney bought a new NAS for replacing the old Synology DS211. And again due to the short vacation in Taiwan, Cheney did not write a review about the new Synology DS415play.

get disappoint with Cheney? ha...Today, let Cheney share with you how to disassemble the Synology DS414...yeap, another NAS Cheney had in 2014…..

今年農曆過年，Cheney讓台灣家裡的群暉DS211退休了...換了一個DS415play....DS211呢，就跟Cheney的弟弟Matt遠渡重洋到澳洲去繼續完成他未竟的旅程啦.......

很失望嗎?今天Cheney就來分享一篇如何拆解群暉DS414.....嘿嘿...又一台NAS嗎?沒錯...這是2014年買的.....

After two years using, the DS414 has accumulated a lot of dust, and thanks the City of dust, Chengdu,.....what a fxxking dirty air and resulting a lot of dust indoor even you closed the windows……

在經過兩年的使用，DS414(Cheney真心覺得這個model name取得不好啊...DS死一死)....累積了不少灰塵，真是感謝這個髒兮兮的灰塵之都-成都....髒不拉機......關窗也一堆灰塵啊

下面這張是群暉DS414的外觀

Firstly, you need to remove the front cover and the hard drives

首先你要把前蓋跟硬碟都拆下來....這簡單的很，就不介紹了

second, you need to remove the screws at the back side, there are 11 screws on it, don’t remove the 8 screws which secure the fans, remove another three one (mark with the red arrow)

其次你需要把背面的螺絲給卸下來，一共有11顆，8科鎖風扇，所以只要拆紅色箭頭的那三顆就可以了，當然如果你要清風扇，也可以一併拆下來

then pull the white steel to remove the cover, just follow the arrow direction….this is the part which is the most difficult one in the disassemble process...just be careful with this

看到照片裡面那個橫桿，照箭頭的方向用手指扳一下就可以把殼給拆下了.....這是最不好弄得部分

see… a lot of dust….

then remove the Hard drive bay...to remove it, need to release 4 screws on the bottom and one on the bay….check the following photos

接著把硬碟架給拆了...底部有四顆螺絲，旁邊還有一顆....

don't forget to remove the black staff in the following photos

別忘了這個黑色的東西也要拆下來

remove the another pci part which is connected to the fans….

把連著風扇的部分也拆下來

then your DS414 will looks like this 這時候DS414就像這樣啦

ok then….if you wanna to remove the bottom PCI, then just remove the screws…..

and now...time to clean the fans...how dirty they are

如果要拆下面的主機板，把板子上的四顆螺絲拆下來就可以了....

清灰塵的時間到了....好髒啊

and when ㄗou assemble back, don’t assemble the wrong direction of fans

the labels are toward outside….

當你在組裝回去的時候，記得別把風扇的方向給裝錯，有標籤的部分是朝外的....

so...is it easy? guess you know how to assemble it back….right?..if not, sending to Chengdu to ask Cheney’s help is welcome...but money talks….you know...money money money...no money no work….ha ha 很簡單吧....Cheney猜想你應該知道怎麼裝回去了，如果裝不回去，要寄來成都給Cheney幫忙也是可以啦.....只是不要忘了....有錢一切好辦事啊.....
